How to organise a listing
Simply make contact to express your interest. If the subject of the proposed listing is suitable for inclusion, a listing can be created for you based on information and images from you (for example, your website or brochure).
Usually, you'll be asked to approve a draft first. When the listing goes online, you'll be invoiced. Payment is by direct deposit.
What's included will depend what's appropriate to the subject, but could include a name, website/webpage link, phone and/or address if appropriate, and up to 80 words of descriptive text including your most important keywords, a logo and a small illustrative image.
Be sure that you're authorised to grant permission for use of any text or images, and for them to be edited as necessary.
Your message must be applicable to the public in Queensland or some part of Queensland. Products/services being advertised must be available for purchase by the public in Qld (may include vendors based interstate that deliver to Qld). Australian businesses/organisations only.
New listings will be added to the top of the page and return to the top of the page if they are renewed the next year.
Other information, Terms & Conditions. If you have any further questions, please get in touch.
More about this concept
While fundamental how-to information is very important, finding out about new plants or products and where to get them is a part of gardening that helps you get it done and can be interesting in its own right.
TV, radio and print media have been fading, but at least there were websites, blogs and forums. But eventually they got crowded out by social media and what remained got harder to find with search engines. Now there's AI to contend with.
This page will be super-simple, harking back to to the early days of the internet as well as the small ads that used to be found in the back pages of gardening magazines and newspapers.
It's inspired, in part, by the small ads and notices carried in the back pages of magazines and newspapers, which used to be so important in the pre-internet days as a way for small businesses and individuals to find and communicate with each other within a special interest group and/or geographic region at a fairly low cost.
This may evolve somewhat over time, but the vision at the moment is to add new additions to the top, so that everyone gets a turn and visitors that come back from time to time will see something new each time. Eventually, it may be possible to create categories over multiple pages, akin to the classified listings of print publications.
Meanwhile, the information is available to be picked up by search engines, giving another route by which people might potentially find you. The link might also help with the ranking of your website, if that is still being used by algorithms.
